When someone you love passes away, the flowers that surrounded them carry a weight of meaning that's hard to put into words. Funeral flowers chosen with care, placed as a final act of love — these blooms deserve more than a bin bag when the service is over.

At Artisan Palace, we gently preserve funeral and memorial flowers into handcrafted resin keepsakes you can hold and treasure for the rest of your life. Every piece is made by hand in the UK — with the patience, care, and sensitivity that this kind of work demands.

FAQs

Yes. We preserve wedding bouquets and bridal arrangements with the same care. See our wedding flower preservation collection.

Yes — we work entirely by post and accept flowers from anywhere in the UK. No need to visit us in person.

Yes, and many people choose to arrange this on behalf of someone else. You're welcome to have the flowers sent from the family's address while you pay for the service separately — contact us and we'll help you coordinate it.

Sometimes, yes. Dried flowers can still be preserved in resin, though the result differs slightly from fresh preservation. Get in touch with photos if you can, and we'll let you know what's possible with your specific flowers.

Our memorial flower preservation collection covers over 50 handcrafted pieces. The most meaningful choices for funeral flowers tend to be:

  • Resin Robin Keepsake — deeply resonant in UK culture, where a robin appearing is said to carry the presence of a loved one. Our most requested memorial piece.
  • Resin Cross — a quiet, spiritual tribute. Available in several sizes, with your flowers preserved inside.
  • Tealight Holders — one of our most popular memorial choices. Light a candle through your preserved flowers on anniversaries, birthdays, or quiet evenings. Available in pillar, round, heart, and cylinder shapes.
  • Resin Heart — a classic, personal keepsake. Small enough to hold in your hand, meaningful enough to keep for a lifetime.
  • Paperweight or Resin Block — flowers suspended in crystal-clear resin, displayed on a shelf or desk. A permanent, visible presence in your home.
  • Photo Frame — combine your preserved flowers with a photograph of your loved one in a single keepsake.
  • Resin Jewellery — rings, necklaces, and earrings with real memorial flower petals set inside. A way to carry someone with you every day.
  • Resin Clock — a working flower clock as a lasting tribute in your home.

Many families choose to create multiple pieces from the same flowers, so that siblings, children, or grandchildren each have something of their own to keep. This can be arranged at the time of ordering.

You don't need to travel anywhere at an already difficult time. Pack your flowers carefully, send them to us, we will prepare and preserve each bloom individually before hand-casting them into your chosen keepsake. You'll receive photos at each stage and can share your thoughts before anything is finalised.

Yes — and many families don't realise this is possible until after the flowers have already been discarded. Funeral flower preservation works with fresh flowers sent shortly after the service, but we regularly work with flowers that have been kept in water for longer, or that have already begun to dry. If you're unsure whether your flowers are still suitable, please contact us before sending — we'll always try to help, and we'll give you an honest answer.

Ideally, flowers should be posted within 5–7 days of the funeral via Royal Mail Tracked. We work with flowers sent from anywhere in the UK.

Your flowers are carefully dried using silica sand to retain their shape and structure, rather than being air-dried. Once fully preserved, they are arranged and set in resin or framed, depending on your chosen design — such as resin blocks, tealight holders, or pressed flower frames. Each piece is created by hand, layer by layer, to ensure a beautiful and long-lasting finish.

Every order is handmade in the UK and we'll keep you updated throughout the process via email when stages change, for example; Drying, Resin Creation, Sanding etc.

We recommend sending your flowers as soon as possible after your event, ideally within 3-5 days. Fresh flowers preserve best, helping us achieve the highest quality result.

Yes — we preserve flowers from weddings, funerals, and all meaningful occasions. Whether it’s a bridal bouquet or a tribute arrangement, each piece is treated with the same level of care and respect.

Some natural colour changes are expected as flowers dry — for example, whites may soften to ivory and brighter tones may deepen. Where needed, we can apply subtle colour correction to restore a more natural appearance while keeping the piece realistic.

Yes — you’ll receive updates at key stages, including when your flowers arrive, when they are removed from the sand with photos of the dried flowers and when your piece is completed. You’ll also see photos of your finished item before it is dispatched.

Your item will be sent via a tracked Royal Mail service, and you’ll receive tracking details as soon as it’s dispatched. We carefully package each piece to ensure it arrives safely.

You are provided with a "Specification Sheet" that allows you to details which flowers go into what item, but we don't allow for design consultation on smaller items like tealights, as they are made upside down in silicone moulds. However items like Tables, you can request to have a draft before we start the work, however most customers allow us creative artistic flair to make meaningful items using our judgement.
