A Pandora bracelet is built to be added to over a lifetime — a charm for a birthday, a holiday, a new baby. So it is one of the most natural places to keep something from your wedding day or from a loved one you have lost. If you have searched for a "Pandora charm with real flowers" and weren't sure what was genuinely possible, this guide explains exactly what a real flower charm is, how we make one from your own flowers, whether it fits a standard bracelet, what it costs, and how to look after it.
The short answer
A flower-petal charm is a small, bead-style charm with a hand-poured clear resin centre that holds real, preserved petals — from your wedding bouquet, or from funeral or memorial flowers. It threads onto a standard Pandora-style bracelet, so it sits alongside the charms you already wear. At Artisan Palace every charm is handcrafted in the UK by our maker, Julie, from petals you post to us, and a Pandora Bead Charm starts at £35. It is the most affordable way to wear your real flowers every day, which is also why it is one of our most popular gifts and bridesmaid pieces.

A finished flower-petal charm — real petals set in clear resin, threaded onto a standard bracelet.
What exactly is a flower-petal charm?
It helps to clear up the wording. "Pandora" is a brand of charm bracelet, and our charms are designed to fit that style of threaded bracelet — they are Pandora-style rather than made by Pandora. What makes ours different from a high-street charm is what's inside: not a manufactured motif, but the actual petals you carried down the aisle, or the flowers that sat beside someone you loved.
The appeal is that a charm is small, hardwearing and worn. A framed piece lives on a shelf; a charm travels with you on a bracelet you already own. For many people that everyday closeness is the whole point.
It is the difference between a photograph of your flowers and the flowers themselves — small enough to wear on a bracelet you already love.
How we make your charm
Every charm is made to order, by hand, from your specific flowers. Here is the process from start to finish:
- Order your charm and reserve your place. Because each piece is handmade, Julie takes on a limited number at a time. You order the charm in full upfront, and we hold a place for your flowers.
- Send us your flowers. After the day, you post your bouquet — or just the few stems that matter most — to us. Fresher is better, but we can work with flowers that have already begun to dry.
- We dry and press the petals. Drying is done slowly to hold both shape and colour. This is the step that protects the final look.
- We choose the petals together. Tell us which blooms carry the meaning, and Julie works those into the charm at the right scale.
- You preview and approve the design. Before any resin is poured, we send you a photo of the planned layout. Nothing is set permanently until you are happy.
- We cast, cure and finish by hand. The resin is poured, cured, sanded and polished, then quality-checked and posted to you with tracked UK delivery.
That preview-and-approve step matters. With a handmade, one-off piece there is no second bouquet, so we would rather pause and check than guess.
From wedding flowers
For brides, a charm is the easy "yes" of wedding keepsakes. It is the lowest-cost piece we make, so it is the natural choice when you want to keep your flowers but also want to spread one bouquet across several pieces — a resin ring for you, charms for the people who stood beside you. That is exactly why charms are one of our most-requested bridesmaid gifts made from wedding flowers: one set of flowers becomes a matching charm for each member of the bridal party.
From memorial flowers, too
A charm is just as fitting as a memorial keepsake — a quiet way to keep a parent, grandparent or partner close, made from the flowers from their funeral or a bouquet they once loved. Two things tend to bring families comfort. First, the charm is small and wearable, so it stays with you rather than sitting on a shelf. Second, one set of funeral flowers can usually become several charms, so siblings or children can each carry the same memory. There is no rush and no pressure — when you are ready, you can read our guide to a memorial necklace from funeral flowers, or start gently on our funeral flower preservation page.
Which flowers work best in a charm
A charm is a small canvas — even smaller than a ring — so petal choice matters. Some flowers shrink to a perfect charm scale; others are simply too large or too wet to behave. We would rather be honest than promise everything works.
| Flower | How it holds up at charm scale | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gypsophila / baby's breath | Excellent | Tiny and delicate — ideal for a small setting |
| Roses (single petals) | Excellent | Rich colour; split into individual petals |
| Eucalyptus & foliage | Very good | A sliver of greenery holds colour well |
| Hydrangea florets | Good | Small florets sit beautifully in a charm |
| Lavender & wax flower | Good | Small, sturdy, keep their shape |
| Peony / large blooms | Tricky | Use a single petal; whole blooms suit blocks and frames |
| Tulips & very wet flowers | Tricky | High water content can brown during drying |
One honest note on colour: drying naturally shifts some shades. Bright whites often settle to a soft ivory and deep reds can darken slightly. That is the trade-off of preserving something real rather than printing something artificial — and most people find the gentle, true-to-life tones are exactly the point.
Will it fit my bracelet?
Our charms are made with a threaded core to fit standard Pandora-style bracelets and most popular charm bracelets with a similar fitting. If you wear a different bracelet, send us a photo or the measurement before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will work — we would always rather check first.
Caring for your charm
Resin is durable but not indestructible. To keep your charm looking its best: take the bracelet off before swimming, cleaning or heavy hand-work; avoid spraying perfume or hand sanitiser directly onto it; store it out of constant direct sunlight when you are not wearing it; and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth — no harsh chemicals. Treated kindly, it is an everyday piece that stays with you for years.
What it costs and how long it takes
A Pandora Bead Charm starts at £35, which makes it the most affordable keepsake we make and an easy piece to order in a set. Charms are often ordered alongside other pieces from the same bouquet. For the full picture across every keepsake, see our wedding flower preservation cost guide. Jewellery is one of our quicker pieces to make once the petals are dried and the design is approved — for current lead times across the range, read how long flower preservation takes.
Frequently asked questions
Does it fit a real Pandora bracelet?
Yes — our charms are made to fit standard Pandora-style threaded bracelets, the same fitting most charm bracelets use. If you are unsure about your bracelet, send us a photo before ordering and we will confirm.
Can you use flowers that have already dried or wilted?
Yes. Fresher flowers give the best colour, but we regularly work with bouquets that have started to dry. Send us what you have and we will tell you honestly what is possible before you commit.
How many charms can you make from one bouquet?
Usually several, depending on the size of the bouquet. This is why a single set of wedding or funeral flowers can become matching charms for a whole group — bridesmaids, or siblings sharing a memorial.
Will the petal colours fade over time?
The resin gives the petals real protection, but no preserved flower is completely fade-proof. Keeping the charm out of constant direct sunlight is the single best thing you can do to keep the colours rich.
Do you make these across the UK?
Yes. We are UK-based — you post your flowers to us, and we return the finished charm with tracked delivery anywhere in the UK.
Can I order matching charms as gifts?
Absolutely — this is one of our most popular requests. Browse the full resin flower jewellery range to see charms, rings, necklaces and earrings that can all be made from the same flowers.
